Revelation 5 – The Worthy Lamb and the Sealed Scroll

Revelation Chapter 5 Overview
Revelation 5:1–4 – A Sealed Scroll and a Weeping Prophet
📖 Revelation 5:1 – “A book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.”
🔎 Legal and divine:
🔹 Sealed scrolls were legal documents—this scroll holds God’s covenant judgment and redemption.
🔹 Seven seals show its complete and divine nature—only one with divine authority can open it.
📖 Revelation 5:4 – “And I wept much, because no man was found worthy…”
🔎 The weeping of John:
🔹 If the scroll remains sealed, God’s plan remains unfulfilled—justice delayed, redemption unrealized.
➡️ Faith Insight: Without Christ, the world remains bound in sin and judgment.

➡️ Christ Connection: Jesus rules because He was slain—not despite it.
Revelation 5:8–14 – Heaven Erupts in Praise
📖 Revelation 5:9 – “Thou art worthy… for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God…”
